Drive
Hold speed. Read space.

Two teams. One core. Drive it through the opposing scoring slot. Win ground with precision, build TORQ through skilled driving, and turn a passing angle into a coordinated attack.
Your tires make the play. Driving creates space and charges TORQ. Spend it on a close Flux touch or a short Shift, then recover your position.
Hold speed. Read space.
Turn control into energy.
Earn power through skill.
Shape a close touch with Flux.
Feed the rail. Finish the cross.
Rotate back. Cover the return.
Sustained drifts, maintained speed, clean lines, tackles and skilled core interactions build TORQ. Chain purposeful maneuvers to keep your next tactical move available.

GROUND POSSESSION · CONCEPT VIEWLoad the suspension. Find grip. Carry momentum around the divider and open a passing lane. A controlled drift changes the next touch and builds TORQ.
LOCAL CONTROL · FLUXFlux spends TORQ to briefly tug, push, settle or bend the nearby core. Stay within close range and time the pulse. On a rail cross, the bumper supplies the strike while Flux controls the touch.
DRIVETRAIN RELEASE · SHIFTSpend TORQ on one short directional burst. Tires bite, suspension loads, and the car surges into the gap. Intercept a cross, evade contact or make the last block. Your momentum and collisions still matter.
PHYSICAL CHALLENGE · CONCEPT VIEWSpeed, angle, mass and timing decide the challenge. A steel bumper can knock a car off its line, but a missed tackle opens the court. Cars stay heavy, with tires and suspension doing the work.
Feed the wing intake. Exposed steel rails and copper coils guide the core around a fixed perimeter route, then release a low cross into the open goal apron. The cars stay on the concrete.
Teammates time the finish. Defenders read the same visible route and contest the exit. Neither team owns the cross once it returns to play.

A deliberate bumper pass trades a direct shot for a new attacking angle.

The route and exit are fixed. Both teams can see the next contest developing.

Meet it with a teammate, control the touch with Flux, or cut it out with Shift.
A narrow midfield opens into two broad attacking courts. Low dividers split passing lanes. Four short Mag-Rails serve the wings. Recessed scoring docks mark the two ends: the whole core must cross the striped threshold to score.
Direct shots, rebounds and defensive blocks stay in play. Most of the match happens with wheels on a surface, in sight of the core and the scoring slots.

TORQ can bring partner communities into the game through original street cars, liveries and collectibles. Partner cars use TORQ's competitive archetypes, preserving fair gameplay while giving every collaboration its own identity.

Classic competition, heavy contact, blackout matches and rail-cross bonuses. These are planned modes in development; the images are concept renders, not captured gameplay.
1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 describe team sizes—not separate modes. Supported sizes and final rules will be confirmed through playtesting.
01 / MODE CONCEPTStandard TORQ gameplay: score through the opposing slot, build energy through skilled driving, and combine Flux, Shift and Mag-Rail crosses. Teamwork and vehicle control decide the match.
Win conditionMost goals wins. No extra damage or visibility modifiers.
02 / MODE CONCEPTA full-contact twist on the core-scoring game. Collisions deal extra damage and worn-down cars must retreat to a pit bay for repairs. Choose between staying in the attack and leaving your team briefly short-handed to recover.
Win conditionScore goals to win; repairs cost time, not tokens.
03 / MODE CONCEPTThe arena lights are off. Vehicle headlights are the only light on the playing surface, revealing the core, opponents and obstacles as you turn. Coordinate your beams and approach angles to find a route to goal.
Win conditionMost goals wins, with blackout visibility. No floodlights.
04 / MODE CONCEPTDirect goals count for one. A goal finished by a teammate directly from your Mag-Rail delivery counts for two. If an opponent touches the delivery first, the bonus is lost. Both teams can contest the outlet; every car stays on the ground.
Win conditionMost points wins. A defended cross loses its bonus.
